Obituary

Margaret Katherine (Kinnett) Banschbach, 93, of Rising Sun, IN passed away Monday, December 27th, at St. Elizabeth Dearborn, Lawrenceburg, IN. Margaret was born in Dearborn County, IN on August 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Francis (Staley) and Charles  Kinnett. Margaret was a graduate of Rising Sun High School Class of 1946. She was employed as an a aide and school bus driver for the Ohio County Elementary Middle School.  On June 14, 1947, she was married to John F. Banschbach. They were married for over 74 years until his passing on August 6, 2021. Margaret was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She loved watching her children and grandchildren perform in various sports and programs. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Margaret is survived by sons John Banschbach (Kathi) of North Mankato, MN, Jeff Banschbach of KY, Rick Banschbach (Kim) of Rising Sun, IN, Greg Banschbach (Pam) of Rising Sun, IN, and Fred Banschbach (Jen) of Glencoe, KY; daughters Debbie Jackson of Las Vegas, NV, Diane Christian (Steve) of Lebanon, IN, and Missy Wallace (Jim) of Rising Sun, IN; son-in-law Bill Madison of East Enterprise, IN; sisters-in-law Mary Mitchell (Roy) of Milan, IN and Rita Leone (Dave) of Clayton, IN; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Carole Madison, and son-in-law Eric Jackson.

A rosary service will be held at the Markland Funeral Home, Sunday, Jan. 2nd  at 2:30 PM with visitation to follow until 5 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monday, Jan. 3rd at 11 AM with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
