Michael Joseph Huff

Michael Joseph Huff, 63, of Florence, IN, passed away on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY. Michael was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 17th, 1958, a son of Donald Huff, of Cincinnati, OH, and the late Doris (Romer) Huff. Michael spent his childhood in the Delhi community of Cincinnati. Michael was very skilled in welding and fabrication. He was a shop foreman at the Delta Propeller Company in Cleves, OH for several years. Michael and his wife also established their lawn care service and worked in the Cincinnati region for a period of time. Michael was the husband of JoAnn (Funk) Huff. They were married on September 8th, 1990, in Sayler Park, OH at the Church of Christ. Michael and JoAnn were married for over 30 years until his passing with the renewal of their vows in September of 2020.

Michael loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, and traveling. He also liked working on projects at his farm, riding motorcycles, and taking the time to sit and appreciate the sunrise and sunset. Spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren is what he cherished the most.

 Michael is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Huff, of Florence, IN; by his two daughters, Angela (Gwen) Huff and Krista Huff, both of Florence, IN; by his son, Kenneth Huff, also of Florence, IN; by his father, Donald Huff, of Cincinnati, OH; by his grandchildren, Cailynn Jackson, Austin Jackson, and Rhett Huff; by four sisters, Patty Purnell, Susan Herzog, both of Northern Kentucky, Donna Schmithorst, of Elrod, IN, and Diane Dearing, of Florida. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Huff, and by his brother, David Huff.

Funeral services will be 4 PM, Thursday, May 27th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 27th at Markland Funeral Home.
