Michael Allen Lewis, 60, of Ohio County, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 at his home. Michael was born in Hamilton, OH on September 1, 1961, a son of June Faye (Sutton) Lewis and the late Jack Wayne Lewis. He attended William Henry Harrison High School in Harrison, OH. Michael worked as an Equipment Operator for T&T Maintenance in Dillsboro, IN. Michael was a true outdoorsman. He loved raising and riding his horses. Michael also enjoyed trail riding on an ATV or side by side. Michael always looked forward to backyard barbecues with family and friends. He was a simple, loyal, hardworking man that was always willing to help someone in need.
Michael is survived by his loving companion, Tonya Emery, of Ohio County, IN; by his stepchildren; Angelea Love, Kayla Emery and Derek Emery; by his mother, June Lewis, of Highland Heights, KY; by his granddaughter, Kassidy Lynn Lewis; by three sisters, Leala Williams, Of Cold Spring, KY, Brenda Rios, of Medford, OR and Hetty Wilson, of Florence, KY; by two brothers, Lonny Lewis, of Brighton, CO and Bryon Lewis, of Villa Hills, KY; by his best friend, Tom Losacker and wife Kim, of Indianapolis, IN and by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jack W. Lewis and by his son, Dustin M. Lewis.
Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, March 25th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM at Markland Funeral Home with Eldon Fancher officiating. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
