Myra Evelyn White, 90, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn, Lawrenceburg, IN. Myra was born in Ohio County on September 18, 1930, a daughter of the late Hazel Hayden (Botts) and Myrle Eugene Bunger. She was a graduate of the Rising Sun High School Class of 1948. On June 30, 1951, she married George Richard "Dick" White. Dick and Myra were married for almost 44 years until his passing on June 21, 1995. Myra was an excellent homemaker and seamstress and enjoyed doing puzzles, working in the yard, and tending her flowers. She cared greatly about her family and took joy in babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Above all, the greatest pinnacle in her life was her faith. From an early age, she regularly read her Bible and was a longtime member of the Bethel Unity Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and her church family.
Myra is survived by daughter, Marcia Shaver (Donald) of Rising Sun, IN; son, David White, of Cincinnati, OH; daughter-in-law LuAnn White of Rising Sun, IN; sister, Betty Lois Siekman of Frankfort, IN; grandchildren Jeremy White of Rising Sun, IN, Angela Bush (Bryan) of Burlington, KY; and Stacie McCarty (Tim) of East Enterprise, IN; great grandchildren Brett, Ashton, and Reagan, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Myra was preceded in death by her son, Myrle R. White who passed on December 12, 2009, brother Lawrence Dale Bunger, and brother-in-law Roy Siekman.
A public visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, January 15th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Funeral will be at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating.
