Nancy Lynne (Smith) Perpingon, 70, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Friday, June 21st, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospice. Nancy was born in Langley, VA on October 29, 1953, a daughter of Patsy Ann (Sackett) Smith and Tommie E. Smith. Nancy was a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School, Class of 1971. She later continued her education and was a graduate of the Christ Hospital School of Nursing. She was the wife of Peter Lee Perpingon. Nancy and Pete were married on January 31, 1975 in Lawrenceburg, IN. They would have been celebrating their golden anniversary this coming year. Nancy worked as a RN and her compassion for her patients and coworkers was plain to see. She was last employed at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg, IN. Nancy also worked at Dearborn County Hospital and was the former Director of Nursing for Woodland Hills Care Center. Nancy enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, cooking and baking. She also liked spending time in her garden and tending to her flowers. She loved watching the hummingbirds come in to feed. Nancy's life revolved around her family and making sure they were happy and taken care of.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Pete Perpingon, of Rising Sun, IN; by her parents, Tom and Patsy Smith, of Rising Sun, IN; by her two daughters, Jennifer Lange and husband Ben, of Lawrenceburg, IN and Jodi Perpingon, of Rising Sun, IN and by her grandchildren, Logan and Conner. Nancy is also survived by three brothers, David Smith and wife Patti, of Dillsboro, IN; Jim Smith, of Lawrenceburg, IN; Donald Smith and wife Tammy, of Dickson, TN and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family members and many friends.
