Nina Marie (Justice) Davies

Nina Marie Davies, 87, of Rising Sun, IN (formerly of Dillsboro) passed away on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 at The Waters of Rising Sun. Nina was born in Dearborn County, IN on August 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Violet (Loomis) Justice and Howard  Justice. She was a graduate of Moores Hill High School. Nina married Franklin D.R. Davies on June 20, 1953. Nina and Franklin were married nearly 68 years until his passing on May 28th, 2021. She was a member and former deacon at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Dillsboro. Nina was a beautician and long time owner of Nina's Haircare in Dillsboro. Her and Franklin's love of travel and taking cruises led to her becoming a cruise travel agent and she also operated tanning centers in Lawrenceburg and Rising Sun.  In addition to travel, Nina and Franklin enjoyed going to the local casinos on the weekends and especially loved going to all the grand kid's activities.

Nina is  survived by her two daughters, Sheila Black (Terry), of Rising Sun, IN and Nina Hoffman (Bill), of Dillsboro, IN; by 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Nina is also survived by a sister, Sharon Justice Henson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Violet Justice; by her husband, Franklin D.R. Davies; by her son, Tony Alan Davies; by her daughter, Pamela Davies; by brothers, Leo Justice and Ben Justice, and by sisters, Anita Steele, Minnie Mae Justice, Ora Withered & Elaine Gray.
 
Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rising Sun-Ohio County EMS.
