Norman Lee Wallick

Norman Lee Wallick, 69, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Christ Hospital Cincinnati, OH. Norman was born in Madison, IN on March 9, 1954, a son of the late Betty Jane (Gurley) and Norman Ford Wallick. Norman was a graduate of the Switzerland County High School Class of 1972. He went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Purdue. Norman always enjoyed watching Purdue and the Packers play. Norman also enjoyed golf and farmed for many years. On April 16, 1983, he was married to Mary Fay (Kittle). They were married for over 40 years until his passing and had two children, Clarissa “LeeAnn” Wallick on June 19, 1985, and “Bub” Norman Lee Wallick II on September 19, 1988. Norman belonged to the Patriot Baptist Church and was a longtime, active member of the Patriot Masonic Lodge #327, active member of Indiana Grand Lodge and honorary member of many lodges in the state. He obtained EA on May 1, 1975, Fellow Craftsman on November 29, 1975, Master Mason on December 27, 1975, served as South Eastern Indiana Area Representative from 2013 – 2016, and Past Master in 1980.

Norman is survived his wife, Mary Wallick of Rising Sun, IN; son “Bub” Norman Lee Wallick II of Rising Sun, IN; daughter Clarissa “LeeAnn” Wallick of Rising Sun, IN;  sister Sherri Anne Siler (Jeff) of South Carolina; and grandchildren Caydence Morris and Taytum Wallick. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Betty Jane and Norman Ford Wallick; brother Norman “Tommy” Wallick and sister Mary Wallick.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 15th from 5 - 8 PM at the Markland Funeral Home with masonic ceremony at 7 PM. Funeral will be held Monday, October 16th at 11 AM at the Markland Funeral Home with burial to follow at Eastview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio County Rescue Unit or the Shriners Children’s – Transport Fund.
