Norman Kirk Bayne

Norman Kirk Bayne, 66, of Elsmere, KY, passed away on Friday, August 18th, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital. Kirk was born in Madison, IN on March 25, 1957, a son of the late Shirley Jane (Colen) Koons and Norman Hamilton Bayne. He was a 1975 graduate of Madison High School. Kirk loved repairing cars and worked primarily as an auto mechanic. He also attended broadcasting school in Hayes, KS and was formerly employed at the WSCH radio station. Kirk also enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially baseball.

Kirk is survived by a son, Andrew Bayne and wife Darci, of Aurora, IN;  by grandchildren, Ryan and Abram; by a sister, Kelli Vest and husband John, of Rising Sun, IN, by a nephew, Jeremy Vest and by his stepfather, James Koons, of Rising Sun, IN. Kirk is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Hamilton Bayne, by his mother, Shirley (Colen) Koons, by his nephew, Justin Vest, by his paternal grandparents, Norman & Vera Bayne and by his maternal grandparents, Ora & Goldie Colen.
 
Public Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, August 25th at Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN with Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Ohio County Animal Shelter. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family. marklandfuneralhome.com
