Pearl E. Minks, 98, of Englewood, Florida, previously of Patriot, Indiana, passed away July 22, 2026, in the loving care of her daughter’s home in North Port, Florida. Pearl was born on September 14, 1927 in Switzerland County, Indiana, a daughter of Daniel Rider and Grace (Elza) Rider. Pearl attended school at Patriot. She was the wife of Bennie Minks, who preceded her in death in August of 1983. The couple enjoyed 41 years together in marriage until his passing. Pearl was a homemaker and lovingly tended to her family. She was a member of Fellowship Church in Englewood, Florida. Pearl was greatly talented at needlecrafts such as cross-stitching, crocheting, and needlepoint. She also enjoyed reading and riding her bike.
Pearl is survived by her daughters Bonnie Cunningham of Aurora, Indiana and Reta Sprecher of North Port, Florida; grandchildren Larry Kinman Jr. (and wife Diane), Kimberly Ouellete (and husband Brian), and Bill Wagner (and wife Penny); as well as 5 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Grace Rider; husband Bennie Minks; daughter Diana Kinman; sons-in-law Larry Kinman, Russell Cunningham, and Ralph Sprecher; brothers Howard Rider, Ryle Rider, Lawrence Rider, Wilson Rider, Russell Rider, and Hobart Rider; and sister Mabel Hanna.
Graveside services will be held on August 18th at Eastview Cemetery in Patriot, Indiana, visitation 11:00 – 11:30 AM and funeral at 11:30 AM with Pastor Mike Jones officiating.
