Phyllis Ann (Kelley) Rector, 84, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away June 8, 2026 at her residence. Phyllis was born on December 13, 1941 in Vevay, Indiana, a daughter of Earl and Ruth Kelley. Phyllis worked in management at the Dearborn County Country Club for several years. She was the wife of Albert “Ray” Rector. Phyllis was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, always delighting in spending time with her family. Phyllis especially enjoyed volunteering for “It’s My Closet”, an organization providing clothing and daily care items for students in need in Lafayette, Indiana. Phyllis also enjoyed reading, smoking, taking trips to the casino, and a good bowl of butter pecan ice cream.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Ray Rector of Aurora, Indiana; sons Mickey Kelly, Timmy Kelly, and Jimmy Coy (Brandi), all of Rising Sun, Indiana; daughter Berna Fox of Florida; sister Nancy Kelley of Rising Sun, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Earl Kelley and Ruth (Ballard) Kelley; son Nicholas “Nick” Fox who passed on March 29, 1990; and brother Jimmy Kelley.

Private graveside services are to be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “It’s My Closet” in Phyllis’s honor.
