Richard Wilson McKay

Richard Wilson McKay, 65, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on March 11th, 2021 at his residence. Richard was born in Madison, IN on July 13, 1955, a son of the late Nelda (Wilson) Kinman and Thomas Harold McKay, Sr. Richard was a graduate of Switzerland County High School Class of 1975. He went on to serve in the US Air Force and later was employed as a handyman and was knowledgeable in many different trades. On June 6, 1987, Richard was married to Tina Fain. Richard was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Post #59 and enjoyed many different hobbies such as playing music, woodworking, fishing, gardening, and was known for his immense knowledge of and love for nature. 

In addition to his wife Tina, Richard is survived by sons Wilson McKay of Florence, IN and Trevor (Virginia) McKay of Patriot, IN, brothers Thomas Dyer (Kathy) McKay of Rising Sun, IN and Russell (Roberta) McKay of Patriot, IN, sister Lois McKay of East Enterprise, IN, and two grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held by the family at the Patriot Baptist Church on Wednesday March 17, 2021. Visitation from 11 AM - 12 PM with funeral to follow at 12 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
