Richard ‘Dick” Bruce Walton, also known as “Boogie” of Elizabethtown, Ohio passed away peacefully, February 4, 2025 at his home at the age of 74. Born August 27, 1950, he was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Mary (Hopkins) Walton. Richard spent 24 years working at Anchor Glass (Greendale, IN) and another 23 years working at AEP (Lawrenceburg, IN), making many friends along the way. Richard will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, sarcasm and a fierce loyalty that he shared with friends and family. After retiring in 2015, he enjoyed yard sales, prepping and spoiling his granddaughters and puppy.
Richard is survived by his ex-wife and devoted care giver, Cheryl Walton, his daughter, Jennifer Smith (Andy) and his beloved granddaughters, Larissa (13) and Ellen (11) Smith. He is also fondly remembered by several in-laws: Barb Christerson, Judy and Dave Neff, Betty Cosby, Janet and Jim Donnelon and David (Bud) Nixon, as well as life-long family friends, Barb, Michael and Justin Anderson. Additionally, Richard leaves behind two brothers and one sister.
