Richard John "Rick" Welz

Richard John "Rick" Welz, Jr., 64, of  Rising Sun, IN (formerly of CIncinnati), passed away on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY. Rick was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 12, 1956, a son of the late Vincenza (Panzeca) and Richard John Welz, Sr. He was a graduate of Western Hills High School. Rick formerly worked as a Store Manager at a BP Station in Delhi. He was a long time member of AA. Rick was huge sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals and also the Reds. Rick was a wonderful and loving brother, uncle and friend to many. Rick is survived by three sisters, Christine Clifton and husband Soma, of Cottonwood, AZ; Patty Welz, of Rising Sun, IN and  Judy Welz Browning, of Rising Sun, IN; by a brother, Tony Welz and wife Deborah Sue, of Rising Sun, IN and by nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Tuesday, October 6th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Chaplain Bonnie Bohn officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 6th at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, IN.
