Robert M. Keith

Robert M. Keith, 79, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at his home. Rob was born in Hamilton, OH on February 13, 1947, a son of the late Estelle (Carr) Keith and Gilbert J. Keith. He was a 1965 graduate of North Dearborn High School. Rob was a truck driver most of his life and covered many miles over the years. Rob married Loretta Jean (Davis) Keith in 1980. They spent 43 years together until her passing in 2020. Rob was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and he and Loretta enjoyed taking long rides together. Rob loved the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish and was a member of the NRA. Rob's property in Switzerland County was his little slice of heaven and he treasured the time spent there. 

Rob is survived by his brother, Ronald Keith, of Aurora, IN; by his sister, Judy Powlen (Bill), of Batesville, IN; by his nephews, Keith Powlen, of Madison, IN and Ronald Keith (Becky), of Falmouth, KY; by his nieces, Rhonda Keith, of Aurora, IN, Erin Scherger (Dave), of Royal Oak, MI, Rachel Neuson (Joe), of Milwaukee, WI and Kathy Keith, of Aurora, IN. Rob is also survived by his stepson Troy Coleman and by his grandchildren, Miranda, Jared and Katrina.  

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
