Robert Wayne "Bob" Scudder

Robert Wayne "Bob" Scudder, 79, of Rising Sun, IN (formerly of Patriot) passed away on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023 at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg, IN. Bob was born in Switzerland County, IN on November 23, 1944, a son of the late Helen Marie (Kittle) Scudder Bennett and Frank  Scudder. Bob lived most of his life in Switzerland County and was a graduate of Patriot High School, Class of 1962. He worked as a Mechanic & Auto Body Technician for nearly 50 years. Bob was owner of Ohio Valley Motors in Rising Sun and Patriot. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Vevay Bowling League for several years. Bob was an excellent shot and won prizes over the years for trap shooting and he liked to go pheasant hunting. Bob was a collector and loved going to flea markets and acquiring different items, especially old oil cans. Bob was a large man with a large heart. He was always willing to help out someone in need.

Bob is survived by his aunt Evelyn Kittle, of Rising Sun, IN and by his cousins: Linda Thayer, Mary Wallick, Debbie LaFollette, Barbara Muncy, Carolyn East, Becky Riddle, Susan Ashcraft, Diana Scudder, Joli Kittle, Raymond Kittle, James Gridley, Paul Gridley Jimmie Kittle and Jeff Kittle

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 29th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor Mike Jones officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29th at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
