Roy Daws Obituary

Roy Amos Daws, 76, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at The Waters of Dillsboro in Dillsboro, IN. Roy was born on April 12, 1944 in Somerset, KY, a son of the late Grace (Burton) and Warren Daws. He was a graduate of the Nancy High School Class of 1962. Following graduation, he joined the US Air Force and faithfully served his country. He later went on to own and operate the Bargain City Furniture Store in Florida. Roy loved going to "The Camp" that along with other family members they constructed from the ground up. He was very fond of the time spent there with family and friends . He also enjoyed camping and fishing. On August 18, 1994 he married Nanette (Bovard) Daws.

In addition to his wife Nanette, Roy is survived by son John C. Daws (Faith) of Seattle, WA; daughter Lisa "Nikki" Ware (Jonathon) of Liberty, KY; stepchildren Dusti Alford (Morris) of Georgia and Kelly Floyd (Brandon) of Indianapolis, IN; sisters Faye Tarter of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Shirley Wilson of Washington State, and Bernice Dezarn (Daryl) of Camby, IN; 2 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.
