Sally Katherien (Lowery) Branham

Sally Katherien Branham, 83, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at her residence. Sally was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 2, 1937, a daughter of the late Amy (Schierloh) and Roland  Lowery. She received her nursing degree from the Christ Hospital College of Nursing. Sally worked at several facilities over the years, including United Church Homes and Riverview Nursing Home. Sally married William "Red" Branham on September 27, 1958. Sally and Red were married over 55 years until his passing on March 3rd, 2014. Sally was very active in the community and was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, Ohio County Garden Club, Sunshine Stitchers and the Ohio County Historical Society. She also volunteered at Dearborn County Hospital. Sally liked bird watching and her family enjoyed going to, and participating in Civil War reenactments along with her parents and her children. Sally was a loving mother and wife and provided a wonderful home for her family.

Sally is  survived by a daughter, Alison Boggs and husband  Everett, of Rising Sun, IN;  
by a son, John Branham and wife Donna, of Cincinnati, OH; by 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; by a brother, Robert  Lowery and wife Sandy, of Terrace Park, OH and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sally was preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter, Laurie Young in 2009.
