Sarah B. Tinsley

Sarah Belle Tinsley, 78, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Wednesday, July 12th at Burlington House Nursing Home, Cincinnati, OH. Sarah was born on June 14, 1945, a daughter of the late Lottie (Majors) and Walter Tinsley. Sarah attended Bethany Baptist Church for many years. Her family was her greatest source of joy and visiting with them were her fondest memories. Listening to country music was also known to bring her joy, along with working word search puzzles and catching up on her latest shows.

Sarah is survived by her beloved family, daughter Melissa Christman of Cincinnati, OH, sister Joyce Hill of Moores Hill, IN, grandchildren Lindsay Christman, Hayley Christman, and Alexis Christman, great grandchildren Presley and Emerson, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by brothers Olen “Bill” Tinsley, Walter Carlile Tinsley, and Floyd Pryor, sisters Dorotha Huffine and Lola Miller.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 17th from 5 -7 PM at the Markland Funeral Home. Funeral Tuesday, July 18th at 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cedar Hedge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of Sarah’s grandchildren in her honor, checks made payable to Melissa Christman.
