Stanley Lee Winans

Stanley Lee Winans, 74, of Florence, Indiana, passed away April 22, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Stanley was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 11, 1952, a son of the late Samuel Howard Winans and Rilla (Smallwood) Winans. Stanley grew up in the Northside of Cincinnati and attended school there. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. Stanley was the fiancé of Diana Lynn Thompson. Stanley and Diana enjoyed over 30 years together until his passing. The property where they lived was especially dear to Stanley, often spending time fishing in the pond and always enjoying the nature around them. Stanley additionally enjoyed attending and watching horse racing.  

Stanley is survived by his fiancé Diana Thompson of Florence, Indiana; brother Cecil Winans of Dayton, Ohio; and sister Barb Stone of Delhi, Ohio. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Rilla Winans; son Steven Winans; and siblings Lucille, Winslow, Melvin, and Arthur. 

Memorial contributions may be made to assist the family. Graveside services are to be held at a later date.
