Steven Lloyd Ochs

Steven Lloyd Ochs, 63, of Moores Hill, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood, KY. Steve was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on December 27, 1960, a son of the late Margie (Hastings) Ochs and Lloyd  Ochs. He was a 1979 graduate of South Dearborn High School. Steve worked as a machinist and was the owner of Performance Machining in Dillsboro, IN. Steve was the husband of Lavonne  (Shepherd) Ochs. They were married on November 5th, 1988 at the Methodist Church in Dillsboro, IN. Steve and Lavonne were married over 36 years until his passing. Steve enjoyed being outdoors gardening and riding the Ranger. In younger days he liked to go horseback riding and fishing. He also enjoyed going antiquing with Lavonne. Steve was an animal lover and had a great affection for his dogs. Steve was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend to many and will be deeply missed.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Lavonne Ochs, of Moores Hill, IN; by his beloved daughters, Samantha Ochs, of Moores Hill, IN and Carley Ochs, of Mt. Healthy, OH; by his cherished granddaughter, Harlan Messmer and by his brother, Mike Ochs (Brenda), of Moores Hill, IN. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Margie Ochs and by his brother, Jerry Ochs.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 6th, 2024 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 6th at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, IN. Memorial donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice Care (checks payable to St. Elizabeth Foundation).
