Timothy Joseph Thies

Timothy Joseph Thies, 54, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. Tim was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on January 6, 1969, a son of the late Carolyn Louise Thies. Tim grew up in the Ohio County community and attended Rising Sun High School. He was a truck driver for the Matthews Aurora Casket Company. Tim also formerly worked at Lowes. Being a truck driver fit perfectly with Tim's love of travel. Hitting the open road on his Harley Davidson bike was something he looked forward to every chance he got. He would always check in with family and close friends to make sure they were doing all right and let them know he was ok. Tim also enjoyed detailing cars.

Tim is survived by his uncle, Charles Thies and wife Donna, of Manchester, IN; by his aunt, Betty Markle, of Pennsylvania and by several cousins, other family members and many friends. Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Louise Thies and his aunt, Helen Marie Monroe.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Tuesday, April 4th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Eldon Fancher officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 3rd at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
