Tina Marie (Mosier) Mattox

Tina Marie Mattox, 57, of Moores Hill, IN (formerly of Rising Sun), passed away after an intense fight on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 peacefully alongside her friends and family. Tina enjoyed reading books, spending time with family and friends, and working. Tina worked at Levi's and in the medical field for many years since the 90s. She ran squad as an EMT, Dispatched, and was a Coroner for Ohio County in Rising Sun, Indiana. In 2006 got her CNA/HHA license, then her QMA and in 2013 became an LPN. Tina is not remembered for her 30+ years as a healthcare worker, but for the difference she made by stepping into people's lives through special moments.

Tina could light up a room with her smile and make you feel like family, even if you had just met. She was a fantastic Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and friend that anyone would be lucky to have. Anyone that knew Tina knew she was one of a kind. She was such a sweet, selfless, and hard working woman. She literally would/has given others her last dollar to help them out, taken people into her house who needed somewhere to live, driven people around even while being sick... the list goes on of all the selflessness she has given to others. Tina brought joy to everyone blessed enough to meet her. We will always love and never forget the beautiful soul that God blessed us with! Her spirit and impact will never be forgotten!


Tina is  survived by her daughter, Kassidy Mattox, of Moores Hill, IN and her son,Zachary Mattox, also of Moores Hill, IN. Tina is also survived by her beloved granddaughter Addyson Mattox and by several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Wynonia (Holmes) Mosier; by brothers, Gary Mosier & Kenneth Mosier and by a sister, Barbara Carol Mosier.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Thursday, December 22nd at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made towards the funeral expense.  marklandfuneralhome.com
