Virginia Florence (Nelson) Miller

 Virginia Florence Miller, 92, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 at Ridgewood Health Campus, Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Virginia was born in Medora, IN on September 23rd, 1926, a daughter of the late Hazel (Garrett) and John  Nelson. She worked as an Interior Decorator for White Hall Galleries for many years.  Being a military wife instilled in Virginia a passion for travel that stayed with her throughout her life. She was also an avid reader and passionate about her faith. She was a member at the Rising Sun Church of Christ and faithfully served in the Free Store ministry and aided in the preparation of communion. 
 
Virginia is  survived by daughter Rebecca (Michael) Schultz of Aurora, Indiana, sons George (Gail) Reczek of Canon City, Colorado, and Daniel (Shirley) Reczek of St. George, Utah, and step-daughter Martha (Craig) Stowers of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Virginia is also survived by eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and by one great great grandchild  and by Mike (Debbie) Jones of Arizona whom she also loved as a son. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Noel Miller and brother David O. Nelson.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday, July 11th at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis, Indiana, followed by burial. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday, July 10th at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rising Sun Church of Christ Free Store.
