William Isaac Jackson

William Isaac “Ike” Jackson, 83, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022. He was born February 20, 1939, in Aberdeen, Indiana, of the late William Henry and Elisabeth (Pate) Jackson.
 
Ike was a past member of the Community Fellowship Church.  Ike was a good baseball and softball player, and later following and attending his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren sporting events over the years.  He like spending time with family and friends and was proud his family.  Ike enjoyed good conversation with people and always had a good joke to share to bring out laughter, including Ike’s boisterous laugh all we remember.   He also attended the Greendale First Church of Christ.
 
He is survived by his 4 children, Terry Allen Jackson of Rising Sun, IN, Brenda Lou (Dwayne) Griffin of Rising Sun, IN, Gary Lee Jackson of Memphis, TN, Steven Lynn (Elisa) Jackson of West Lafayette, IN; 1 brother, Wesley (Diane) Jackson of Greendale, IN,  1 sister, Charlene Bennett of Rising Sun, IN; 12 grandchildren, Jamie Greenbalm, Michelle Bastin, Kassie Clark, Cody Jackson, Lucas Jackson, Cheyanne Brewer, Seth Jackson, Cierra Heiniger, Sierra Sieracki, Hunter Jackson, Massimo Jackson, Vittorio Jackson; and 9 great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Elisabeth Jackson; wife, Judith Ann (Shelton) Jackson.
 
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
