Wilma Jean (Ricketts) Webb

Wilma Jean Webb passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 9th, 2026 at 1:09 PM. She was born on May 22, 1931 on Markland Pike near East Enterprise, IN., the daughter of Elmer and Thelma (Stopher) Ricketts. She spent her early years in Switzerland County, then later moved with her family to Rising Sun. She graduated from Rising Sun High School with the class of 1949. On July 1, 1950 she was united in marriage to H. Leroy Webb in Patriot, IN., they had 61 years together until his passing in September of 2011. To this union 3 children were born: Rhonda (Donald) Myers, Brenda Heine and Ricky (Lori) Webb, all of Rising Sun. Wilma spent her life devoted to her family and was of the Protestant faith. She was active in church and was a Cub Scout leader at one point. She later worked for the Rising Sun School Corporation in the cafeteria for several years. She loved life and traveling. She was able to visit all 50 states with her husband, Leroy. She loved being involved in her grandchildren's lives and was their biggest fan at whatever they were involved in.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Rhonda, Brenda and Ricky; by her grandchildren, Cory (Stacy) Morris, Chad (Mary) Morris, Andy (Carol) Webb, Nicholas (Vanessa) Webb, and Dustin (Lacey) Webb; by great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Baylee, Caydence, Brody and Serenity Morris, Joseph, Elijah and Tegan Webb and numerous "bonus" friends and grandchildren; by nieces, Karen Bolton, Leta Brooks and nephew Dennis Brooks and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Webb, by her parents, Elmer and Thelma Ricketts, by her son-in-law, Tim Heine, by her sister, Norma Lee Campbell & husband Charles, by sister-in-law Marietta Brooks and by her father and mother-in-law, Denver & Juanita Webb. She will be missed and remembered for her big heart and welcoming smile.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 13th, 2026 at the Rising Sun Church of Christ. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Sunday, April 12th, 2026 at the Rising Sun Church of Christ. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Rising Sun Church of Christ.
